Download
Windows and Mac OS X Installation
Download the correct version for your operating system below and unzip the file. This will create a whats_next folder on your hard drive. Inside this folder, there is a start.cmd file for windows and a start.command file for Mac OS and Linux. Double-click this file and point your browser at http://localhost:3300. You can bookmark the url for future reference.
You can also move the whats_next directory to any location you want - all settings are stored in your user profile.
Important: What's Next will not work with Microsoft Internet Explorer 6 or older. IE 7 is fine, though. Or you could always use Firefox.
Linux Installation
You need to have a working ruby and rubygems installation. You also need to install the sqlite3-ruby gem manually by typing gem install sqlite3-ruby and choosing the appropriate version of the gem from the list.
Upgrading to the latest version
To upgrade What's Next to a newer version, simply stop the application, unzip the contents of the archive you downloaded over the top of your existing installation and restart.
Latest
Windows
If you know you have a working Ruby runtime installed on your system, or you have a working installation of What's Next, you can download the version without the included runtime.
If you are unsure if you have Ruby installed on your Windows system, you should choose the version with the included Ruby runtime.
